1) What is your role in Pre-Dental Society? What are your duties?
E-mail Coordinator! I e-mail all the members about any meetings, announcements or upcoming conferences - anything dental related. I also respond to our e-mails. 2) Tell us about yourself I lived in Thailand for about 10 years. Currently, I am a senior biology major affiliated with Stevenson College. I am fascinated by science articles depicting its rapid growth in technology! Aside from academia, I love to volunteer and travel mostly to anywhere with a lot of sunlight. Other than Pre-Dental Society, I am also a part of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and UCSC Club Tennis team. Oh, and I am a definitely a dog-person! 3) Why Dentistry? Because who doesn't love teeth..?! I have a passion for helping others and I've always admired the power of a beautiful and healthy smile, from the people giving it and receiving it. My interest in becoming a dentist grew from the technological advancements in dentistry, and it has only strengthened since my service trip to educate villagers in Guatemala about oral health. 4) Your favorite motto or advice to other Pre-Dents? "If your dreams don't scare you, you're not dreaming big enough." Find your support group who share the same passion, to help motivate each other because it's more than a one-man show. |
