PDS at UCSC History
The establishment of this club has impacted many undergrads at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Pre-Dental Society at UCSC has given many opportunities for those interested in dentistry and has readily prepared them for becoming outstanding applicants. The support and connections gained through this club would have never happened these past years if the co-founders never teamed up and had the mindset to create a place to help students during their undergraduate journey.

Established in 2007
I was one of two co-founders of Pre-Dental Society at UCSC. Influenced by my past experience as a leader for a Pre-Heath organization, I envisioned a place for pre-dental students to connect and support one another throughout their undergrad journey. While working at OPERS, I encouraged Mo Diab, co-founder, to participate in an enrichment program called Summer Medical and Dental Education Program (SMDEP). Then and there, we decided to team up and establish Pre-Dental Society at UC Santa Cruz in 2007, alongside with our founding board. It seemed as though no one at UCSC was a pre-dent and then everyone came out of the grave.
