1) What is your role in Pre-Dental Society? What are your duties?
Web Designer, I'm the creator of the new logo and website!

2) Tell us about yourself
I am a 3rd year at University of California, Santa Cruz. Aside from being your web designer, I am an avid volunteer, freelance graphic designer, Secretary of Kappa Gamma Delta A Pre-Health Sorority, an Intern at Santa Cruz Dental group, and a Kaplan Campus Representative. In my free time I enjoy chasing sunsets, playing badminton, crafting, and photography.

3) Why Dentistry?
From my volunteer experiences, I learned the value in sacrificing a few hours out of my day to make a bigger difference in the life of another. The endless smiles and immense gratitude from the individuals I worked with were far more rewarding than anything else I had ever experienced. I’ve always admired the abilities dentists had when serving their community: being able to work with their hands at such a tactical level, establishing life-long patient relationships, communicating with a wide spectrum of patients, and bettering the lives of others one smile at a time. Not only are Dentists able to gift their patients a functional and healthy smile, but with the time spent in between visits, it's amazing to watch the relationship that is cultivated between a patient and their Dentist. From my encounters with patients, it has only fueled my efforts in pursuing a profession that will give me an opportunity to serve my community and create lasting relationships with individuals that we often don't have a chance to meet. I truly enjoy anything dental-related, and nothing can excite me more than helping others for the rest of my life.

4) Your favorite motto or advice to other Pre-Dents?
"The smallest of gestures make the greatest of impacts." Dentistry is truly a rewarding profession and you will have infinite opportunities to grow as an individual during your undergrad career. Everyone is equipped with their own strengths, so take it day by day, and you will achieve greater heights before you know it!
