Why Dentistry?
I want to give back to the community and be a leader. role model for those who may be uncertain about their path in their life. Dentistry is a great way to do this because I can get to know my patients on a more personal level.

What made you join Pre-Dental Society?
Due to certain conditions, I found it extremely difficult to develop a social network and find my place in the community here at UCSC. PDS has inspired me to reach out and search for more ways to connect with fellow students and the community. Through shadowing, PDS has shown me how much of an impact dentists can have on their patients. I want to become a role model to others in the future, seeing these interactions only further my decision in pursuing dentistry.

Your favorite motto or advice to other Pre-Dents?
Not a motto or piece of advice, but the "PDS Family" concept truly resonated with me. Indirectly. it gave me the "advice" and inspiration to step out of my comfort zone, and reach out to people or try concepts that I've never done before.
